About the Assistant Principal

As the Assistant Principal at both Sierra and Estrella Elementary Schools, I am committed to building meaningful relationships and lasting connections with students, staff, and families. By cultivating a safe, positive, culturally responsive, and academically rich environment, I aim to empower students to take ownership of their learning while equipping staff with the tools and support they need to thrive.

In 2013, I was honored by the Creighton School District for developing and implementing a parent/guardian program that educated families on effective strategies to support their children’s academic success. I plan to bring a similar initiative to the families and teachers at both Sierra and Estrella, continuing my mission of fostering strong home-school partnerships.

I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and am entering my 19th year in public education. Throughout my career, I have intentionally taught across multiple grade levels to strengthen my effectiveness as an instructional leader. I have also had the privilege of participating in curriculum design and implementation in collaboration with WestEd.

On a more personal note, I am married with 2 beautiful children. I was an Army brat growing up, but my family settled in a small rural Arizona community. I moved to the valley in my twenties and have lived here ever since.
